BERNY was founded by Mr. Fred Chu. There is a bith story. In 1989, right after graduating, Mr. Chu started working at a state-owned enterprise. In 1992, he quit to start his own business and made his first trip to Switzerland, where he was completely captivated by the craftsmanship of Swiss timepieces. That was when his dream took root—to build something meaningful in China's watch industry and make a real difference. At the time, he was young, fearless, and full of ambition. In 1995, he founded a small watch assembly workshop in Shenzhen. When it came to naming the company, his mind immediately went to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. So he created the name BERNY—as a tribute to the heart of the watchmaking world, and as a personal reminder to stay committed to the craft. More than three decades have passed. The world has changed, and so have people's expectations. But BERNY is still here—still striving, still evolving.
