Palatial Flying Tourbillon Minute Repeater
Jacob & Co. has reintroduced its Palatial Flying Tourbillon Minute Repeater, a complication first presented in 2014. This new iteration, powered by the updated Caliber JCCM04, features a redesigned tourbillon cage and a silent repeater governor. The watch combines a minute repeater with a 60-second flying tourbillon, striking hours, quarters, and minutes on demand.
- Price: USD 390,000
- Limited to 12 pieces
- 43mm 18K rose gold case
- 90-hour power reserve
- 30m water resistance
The dial is made of a translucent red mineral with 18K rose gold appliqué indices and skeletonized hands.
The movement, Caliber JCCM04, is a revised version of the original Caliber JCBM03, developed with Manufacture Hautes Complications (MHC).
The watch features a flying tourbillon at 6 o'clock and the striking racks of the minute repeater are visible through the dial.
The repeater strikes on cathedral gongs, designed for richer notes and longer reverberation.
The case is described as unusually sleek for Jacob & Co., with a focus on wearability.
The movement features an elevated tourbillon cage with an hourglass-shaped balance wheel and a free-sprung architecture.
