Petite Heure Minute Les Volumes du Temps
Jaquet Droz has created a unique watch, the Petite Heure Minute Les Volumes du Temps, for the TimeForArt charity auction. Designed by student artist Fiona Djukanovic, the watch features a sculptural dial with dragging hour and minute discs, deviating from traditional hands, and showcases Jaquet Droz's expertise in grand feu enamel techniques.
- Unique piece for TimeForArt charity auction
- Auction estimate: CHF100,000–150,000
- To be auctioned on December 5, 2026
The dial design by Fiona Djukanovic, a student at the Académie de Meuron, features an X-shaped composition with apertures for dragging hours and minutes, utilizing a module based on the brand's Ophidian Hour and fitted to a variant of the JD2653 caliber.
The movement is a descendent of the Frédéric Piguet cal. 1150, featuring a twin-barrel architecture.
The dial combines shades of blue with champlevé and flinqué enamel over hand engraving, emphasizing depth and volume, and is described as having a restrained, almost minimalist aesthetic by Jaquet Droz's standards.
Enamel work follows the dial's contours, using color and light to accentuate varying heights, with two raised triangular plates featuring hand-engraved sunray motifs before enameling.
Below the raised sectors are 40 parallelepipeds forming a tiled pattern, polished flush after firing to create a mirror-smooth dial plate with vibrant colors.
The hour and minute discs have a hand-applied sunray finish, creating changing reflections across different dial levels.
Proceeds from the TimeForArt auction support young artists through the Swiss Institute.
The watch is fitted with a patterned leather strap and an 18k red gold folding clasp.
