Apiar has launched its first sports watch, the Carbon1.0 OG, which utilizes a novel Composite-Based Additive Manufacturing (CBAM) process for its carbon-composite construction. This hybrid approach features a 40.5mm carbon-fiber outer case with a 38mm Grade 23 titanium core, allowing for intricate designs while maintaining strength. The watch is powered by a Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement.

The carbon-composite outer case is created using a novel Composite-Based Additive Manufacturing (CBAM) process, building ultra-thin carbon-fiber sheets with a bonding agent and PEEK powder, then fusing them under heat and pressure.
The Grade 23 titanium inner structure is produced using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) and incorporates the 12-hour markers directly into its architecture.
The dial is CNC-machined from aluminum with a three-dimensional embossed pattern inspired by generative design and carbon fiber structure, finished with a black anodization.
The watch features sandblasted hands with light blue Super-LumiNova and a sapphire crystal with an antireflective coating and an underside pad-printed Apiar logo and 'Made in the UK'.
The 'Additive Upgrade' package includes an Alcantara strap and a 3D-printed titanium clasp, along with a 3D-printed nylon travel case.
Approximately 75% of each watch is produced in the UK, with ambitions to increase this figure.
The watch feels exceptionally light on the wrist due to its carbon-composite construction.
