Renaud Tixier Monday Organica Black and Burgundy
Renaud Tixier has introduced two new limited-edition models in Black and Burgundy to complement the original Blue Monday Organica. These watches, limited to seven pieces each, feature Grand Feu enamel dials and are housed in platinum (Black) or 5N rose gold (Burgundy) cases, offering a substantial feel on the wrist. The collection draws inspiration from botanical elements and watchmaking components, with the new colors representing plant roots and fruit, respectively.
- Limited to 7 pieces each
- 60-hour power reserve
- 2.5 Hz frequency
- 30m water resistance
The Black edition is crafted from platinum, while the Burgundy edition is made from 5N rose gold, both contributing to a weighty feel on the wrist.
The case features polished lugs on top with brushed flanks, and the caseband is hand-engraved with a frosted texture.
Dials are made from Grand Feu enamel in their respective colors by Ateliers Olivier Vaucher, featuring an engraved motif that blends floral concepts with watch components like jewels and balance wheels.
The 'Organica' name signifies both natural, plant-based elements and the watch's regulating organ, with the Black and Burgundy colors representing plant roots and fruit, respectively, to complete the triptych with the earlier Blue edition.
The automatic calibre RVI2023 features a micro-rotor and a flywheel for enhanced winding efficiency, operating at a lower frequency of 2.5 Hz (18,000 vph) which is noted for its aesthetic appeal in haute horology.
The Black model comes with a black Monroe calfskin strap and a white gold pin buckle, while the Burgundy model features a beige Island calfskin strap with a rose gold pin buckle.
While pricing is not announced, the previous platinum Blue edition was CHF 125,000, suggesting a similar price point for these new models.
