A. Lange & Söhne has introduced two new limited edition versions of its 1815 Up/Down dress watch, featuring a more compact 37.5mm case size. These models are distinguished by their dark blue dials and are available in 18k white gold or 18k pink gold, each limited to 300 pieces.

The dial layout is inspired by historical pocket watches, with the power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock and the seconds at 3 o'clock, a configuration seen on deck watches made by A. Lange & Söhne during WWII.
The power reserve indicator uses a planetary differential system, a space-saving concept patented by Lange in 1879 for pocket watches.
The movement, caliber L051.2, features a three-quarter plate made of German silver, hand-engraved balance cock, and gold chatons, reflecting traditional Glashütte watchmaking.
The case design features horizontal satin-brushed flanks and a polished concave bezel, with lugs that curve downwards.
The blue dial color is described as a 'dustier' hue compared to the first-generation 35.9mm blue-dialed 1815 Up/Down.
The subdials are silver-colored and feature snailed finishing, with the power reserve indicator having a red segment to denote the last six hours of remaining power.
The movement's German silver three-quarter plate will patina over time, developing a richer color.
Each engraved balance cock is unique to its watch, as engravers have their own distinct patterns.
