The collaborative Solar Hiker watch, a partnership between Vaer, Topo Designs, and Worn & Wound, is returning for 2026 with updated features. This iteration includes two new colorways, a slightly larger 39mm stainless steel case, and revised strap designs, all presented in a new, more compact carrying case designed by Topo Designs.

The 2026 Solar Hikers feature a 39mm stainless steel case, an increase from the previous 38mm, to accommodate a wider range of wrists.
Two new colorways are offered: one with a black dial and black ceramic bezel, and another with a deep blue dial and blue ceramic bezel.
The watch is solar-powered and features a dual-index bezel, generously lumed numerals, and hands for readability.
Topo Designs contributed custom hook-and-loop straps and a new carrying case with a zipper closure, multiple internal pockets, a tool/pen holder, and an attachable paracord strap with a shoulder pad.
The collaboration aims to combine the practicality of outdoor gear with the everyday appeal of a wristwatch, with Vaer providing durable, accessible adventure-ready watches, and Topo Designs offering colorful, functional gear.
