Konstantin Chaykin SC02C Space-Tested Chronograph
Konstantin Chaykin has released the SC02C, a mechanical chronograph developed and tested for extravehicular activity (EVA) by cosmonauts. Adapted from prototypes used during spacewalks, this civilian limited edition retains the robust features required for space missions while being suitable for everyday wear. The watch is based on a modified historic Soviet movement and is limited to 28 pieces.

The SC02C features a unidirectional bezel with a 12-hour scale, and its red-tipped hour hand aids in using the bezel for elapsed time measurement.
The case is designed to withstand vacuum conditions down to 1 × 10-6 atmospheres and includes antimagnetic protection rated to 4,800 A/m.
The hand-wound K.20-5 calibre is based on the historic Poljot 3133 movement, with 60 components manufactured by Konstantin Chaykin, and includes a stop-seconds function.
The sapphire crystal's reverse 'dovetail' construction is engineered to prevent it from being forced out under pressure changes or extreme loads.
The watch comes with two black fabric straps, one of which is an extended version designed to fit over a spacesuit.
The movement incorporates a damping ring for protection against vibration and overloads, and uses micrometric adjustment by weights for the balance.
