Jaquet Droz Tourbillon Plasma Ceramic Oberlap
Jaquet Droz has created a unique piece, the Tourbillon Plasma Ceramic Oberlap, born from a co-creation process with a private collector. The watch is inspired by the owner's V12 Ferrari and a drive over the Alpine Oberalp Pass, featuring a miniature painting of the supercar on its dial and a rotor designed to resemble a car wheel rim.

The watch's dial is a miniature painting on a sapphire crystal plate over a gold base, depicting the owner's supercar on the Oberalp Pass.
The oscillating weight is crafted from 18-karat white gold and designed to replicate the complex, multi-level, helical geometry of a wheel rim from the owner's Ferrari V12.
The plasma ceramic case is described as matte and sandblasted, achieved by firing white ceramic at over 20,000°C.
The movement features a black galvanic treatment, silicon balance spring and pallet horns, and a titanium tourbillon frame.
The watch is presented on a signature yellow strap with a mixed ceramic and steel folding clasp.
The co-creation process involved remote connection to the workshop's cameras for the client to follow prototyping stages.
