Louis Vuitton Monterey Ceramic
Louis Vuitton has introduced the Monterey Ceramic, a new regular production model inspired by the 1980s "Montre LV II". This iteration features a ceramic case in black or green, a white lacquer dial, and a proprietary automatic movement from La Fabrique du Temps (LFT). It offers a more accessible price point compared to its 18k gold predecessor while maintaining a distinctive, unorthodox design.

The Monterey Ceramic is styled like its predecessor, drawing inspiration from the 1988 "Montre LV I" and "Montre LV II" designed by Gae Aulenti.
The case is available in glossy black or green ceramic with a steel case back, and features a white lacquer dial (or green lacquer for the green ceramic version).
The case construction is described as bulbous, giving it a taller appearance than its 11mm height suggests, which is considered part of its charm.
A signature design element retained from the original is the one-piece strap that slides into a slot under the case, contributing to an instrument-like feel.
The dial design is modelled on the original, condensing scales to fit a three-hand display for improved legibility while retaining the feel of the "Montre II".
The proprietary LFT MA01.02 calibre is a small, industrial-haute horlogerie movement with Geneva-style stud carriers and a free-sprung balance, featuring a 22k red gold rotor.
The movement finishing follows Louis Vuitton's house style, characterized by clear jewels and frosted, recessed surfaces on bridges.
The watch is available only at Louis Vuitton boutiques.
