BA111OD Chapter 4 T.V.D. (New Generation)
Swiss watchmaker BA111OD has acquired movement developer BCP Tourbillons, marking a significant step towards bringing tourbillon production in-house. To celebrate this milestone, the brand is releasing a refined version of their Chapter 4 T.V.D. tourbillon watch, now featuring an in-house developed calibre and improved specifications.
- Price: £7,800
- 120-hour power reserve
- Chronometer-certified by Timelab
The new generation Chapter 4 T.V.D. features a more architectural skeletonized design with reworked flange and dial for increased visual depth, focusing on the tourbillon at seven o'clock and the engraved mainspring cover.
The acquisition of BCP Tourbillons, led by master watchmaker Olivier Mory, aims to secure BA111OD's tourbillon supply and provide greater freedom for new movement development.
The new BA.01 calibre offers an improved 120-hour power reserve, up from 105 hours on the original model, while maintaining a 3 Hz frequency.
The movement is chronometer-certified by Timelab, the Geneva Chronometric Observatory, rather than the more common COSC.
The new Chapter 4 is available in 39mm and 43mm sizes, both smaller than the original's 44mm.
The watch utilizes a simplified tourbillon architecture and pinpoint local suppliers for a more efficient production process, reducing traditional hand-finishing.
