Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève 2026 Finalists Announced
The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) has revealed the finalists for its 2026 awards ceremony, scheduled for November 7 in Geneva. This year's event features a new jury president, Wei Koh, and several category changes, including the removal of gendered terms and the introduction of new prizes like the "Special Jury Prize" for significant watchmaking developments or ethical approaches. The ceremony will be conducted in English to reach a broader global audience.
The GPHG awards ceremony will be held in English for the first time to increase global reach.
Category changes include replacing gendered terms with "Essential" and "Complication," and the "Iconic" prize is now open to all brands.
A new "Special Jury Prize" can be awarded to any person, institution, or brand for significant watchmaking development or exemplary ethics and sustainability.
Only the Jewellery Watch and Mechanical Clock categories will permit unique timepieces.
Notable brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, and F.P. Journe do not participate in the GPHG.
Breguet, last year's Aiguille d'Or winner, cannot compete this year but its CEO is on the jury.
The entry fee for brands is CHF 800, and the finalist fee is CHF 7,000.
