Watch size chart
A 40mm case tells you one dimension. See the length and thickness beside it, using examples from the watch catalog.
Diameter spans the case. Lug-to-lug spans its length along the strap. This diagram is illustrative, not a fit prediction.
Compare the actual dimensions
Start with a watch you know fits. Compare its length, width and thickness with your next candidate. A smaller diameter can still come with longer lugs.

How to read the chart
Diameter
The listed case diameter or width. Shape and bezel proportions change how much dial you see, so equal measurements can look different.
Lug-to-lug
The recorded case length from one end of the lugs to the other. Protruding bracelet end links can add to the span; this table does not model them.
Thickness
The listed height of the watch. Caseback shape, crystal and strap also affect how it sits. A missing value stays marked as not recorded.
Coverage and method
This is a reference sample from the catalog snapshot bundled with this site build, not a survey of all watches or a set of independent measurements. Archived and removed rows are excluded. Coverage counts require numeric diameter from 20 to 60mm and lug-to-lug from 20 to 80mm; these are input checks, not a claim that every included value is correct.
Examples exclude rows with multiple case-size profiles to avoid mixing variants. Of 5,609 eligible rows, up to six distinct brands per diameter band are selected in brand and slug order. The sample is deliberately bounded and is not statistically representative. Prices, wrist circumference and fit scores are not inferred. Open the reference page and verify the exact variant before buying.
Turn dimensions into a shortlist
Use the fit estimate for your wrist, then compare the watches that interest you. If you are still finding your style, start with the quiz.
