Seiko
Seiko's third-party supply version of the 4R35, sold to external watch brands and modders worldwide. Adds hacking and hand-winding over the 7S26 it effectively replaced. The NH35 has become the default automatic movement for watch modding and microbrand watches, thanks to its low cost, reliability, and wide availability of compatible parts including dials, hands, and cases in the Seiko-compatible format.

Owners widely praise the Addiesdive 3D Turtle Dial Dive Watch(AD2045) for its excellent value and case finishing, with some finding it comparable to Seiko. The BGW9 lume is consistently highlighted as brilliant, and the ceramic bezel is precise. Accuracy is reported within -3 seconds over six months by one owner, and the Seiko NH35 movement is noted as robust. Some owners dislike the older "fat martian" logo, preferring the updated script lettering. The bracelet is considered significantly worse than Seiko's by one owner, described as rattly with push pins, though another notes a good button deploy clasp with micro-adjustments and solid end links. One owner notes the crown is stiff and the bezel spins too easily with a hollow sound, while another praises the bezel's minimal backplay. Reservations exist regarding water resistance for actual diving.
