Greubel Forsey Balancier QM
Greubel Forsey has introduced the Balancier QM, a new series featuring their "Qualité Musée" (QM) standard, an internal benchmark for hand-finishing. This standard emphasizes meticulous finishing on all surfaces, even those unseen, to showcase artistic craft over machine efficiency. The Balancier QM itself serves as a prime example of this standard, highlighting intricate finishing techniques on its movement and components.

The "Qualité Musée" standard is a new internal benchmark for hand-finishing, applied to all current and future Greubel Forsey watches, ensuring meticulous finishing on all surfaces.
The Balancier QM features a partially openworked, multi-level dial with an offset hour and minute subdial at 3 o'clock and a small seconds subdial at 8 o'clock.
The bridge holding the balance wheel utilizes at least seven types of finishing, including barrel polishing, black polishing, straight grain, circular grain, bevelling, and chamfering.
The balance wheel is made of gold with a new bi-level structure, bevelled and polished on all sides, and incorporates an in-house variable inertia balance spring.
The case design is based on the Balancier Contemporain, with a diameter of 39.6mm and a thickness of 12.25mm including the domed crystal.
The watch is presented on a hand-sewn textured rubber strap with a white gold pin buckle, a nod to the Contemporain's sportier design.
Greubel Forsey plans to reduce overall production quantities starting in 2027 to uphold the QM standard, making their watches even more difficult to acquire.
