Editorial Use of Watch Imagery

lug2lug is an editorial watch specification, review, and price tracking service. Watch images on the platform are used in an informational and commentary context — pairing each photo with specs, ownership history, secondary-market pricing, and community discussion. We believe this use is consistent with the principles of fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107 and with industry custom for watch review and aggregator publications.

Manufacturer photographs remain the copyright of the original rights holder. We display each image alongside a clear brand attribution and link back to the brand's primary product page wherever practical. Trademarks (brand names, model names, and logos) are used solely for nominative identification of the products being discussed.

Takedown Requests

We honour takedown requests from rights holders promptly and in good faith, regardless of whether a formal DMCA notice is filed. If you believe content on lug2lug infringes your copyright, email contact@lug2lug.org with the subject line “Copyright Takedown” and we will respond within 48 hours, typically with same-day removal once the request is verified.

For an entire brand catalogue we can flip the brand to a private (hidden) state with one click — every page, image, and search result for that brand goes dark across the site. For an individual watch we remove the specific entry. Either way the change is immediate and propagates within minutes.

Formal DMCA Notice

For a formal notice meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), please include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (including the original URL or registration number where available).
  3. Identification of the material on lug2lug that is claimed to be infringing — a direct URL to the page or image is most useful.
  4. Your contact information: full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Send notices to contact@lug2lug.org. Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a knowingly false misrepresentation in a takedown notice may subject you to liability for damages.

Counter-Notification

If material you posted to lug2lug — for example a wristshot image or comment — has been removed in response to a takedown notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Counter-notices must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if outside the United States, the jurisdiction in which Lug2Lug LLC may be found.

Send counter-notifications to contact@lug2lug.org.

User-Submitted Content

You retain all other rights. We rely on you to only submit content you have the right to share.
