The watch features a geocentric display with a 3D representation of the Northern Hemisphere engraved on the underside of a domed sapphire crystal, evoking a star-filled sky with an aventurine base.
Astronomical indications include the apparent positions of the Sun and Moon, precise moon phase (accurate for 40.3 years), days of the lunar month, and tidal coefficients.
The worldtimer function uses a 24-hour disc for the Sun's apparent movement and a fixed city ring for principal time zones, adjustable via pushers without disturbing other functions.
The UN-106 calibre incorporates a silicon escapement and hairspring, technologies Ulysse Nardin pioneered.
The dial includes a fixed city ring for world time and a two-tone day/night indicator.
The moon indicator's illuminated portion always faces the Sun, mirroring the Earth-Moon-Sun system's geometry.
The movement is made of 338 components and 42 jewels, operating at 4Hz (28,800vph).
The watch is a reimagining of the 2009 Ulysse Nardin Moonstruck, now presented in the Blast case.
