Seiko Presage Classic Series “Craftsmanship” Enamel and Urushi Lacquer HCC005 & HCC006
Seiko expands its Presage Classic Series with two new models, the HCC005 and HCC006, which pay homage to the 1913 Laurel, Japan's first wristwatch. These watches showcase traditional Japanese craftsmanship with either an enamel or urushi lacquer dial, reinterpreting the Laurel's design elements with modern proportions and construction.

The HCC005 features a glossy white enamel dial crafted using traditional techniques, with Arabic numerals and a red "12", echoing the 1913 Laurel.
The HCC006 utilizes urushi lacquer for its deep black dial, complemented by gold-colored numerals, indices, and hands, also inspired by the Laurel.
Both watches are powered by the Seiko Calibre 6R5H automatic movement, operating at 21,600 vibrations/hour and offering a 72-hour power reserve.
The enamel dial is overseen by master artisan Mitsuru Yokosawa and his apprentice Kazunori Uchiyama, while the urushi dial is produced under Isshu Tamura's supervision.
The HCC005's enamel dial is described as having a smooth, continuous visual across its surface, unlike some press images that suggest a stepped center.
The urushi lacquer dial on the HCC006 offers a dark, black tone with golden accents for contrast.
The HCC005's white enamel dial features italic Arabic numerals and a prominent red "12", with a recessed center that adds visual depth.
The HCC006's black urushi dial has gold-colored elements, with hands and indices featuring pronounced texture and dimensionality.
