The Ultra-Cermet material is a composite of ceramic and titanium, offering enhanced scratch resistance and a glossier surface than steel.
The case, fluted bezel, crown, and pushers are all constructed from Ultra-Cermet, with an alternation of polished and satin finishes.
This Mineral Blue edition features a lighter grey dial, referred to as Blackor, and powder blue counters named Mineral Blue.
The development of Ultra-Cermet involved over three years of research, utilizing a sintering process with fine ceramic and titanium powders.
The material has a hardness of 1,450 HV on the Vickers scale and retains a cool tactile sensation due to its 40% metal content.
Parmigiani Fleurier claims to be the first watchmaker to create a timepiece entirely crafted in Ultra-Cermet.
