Ollech & Wajs Early Bird 24-Hour Dual Time Zone
Ollech & Wajs has relaunched the "Early Bird" model, a dual-time zone watch inspired by the 1965 Intelsat I satellite. This relaunch serves as a prelude to the brand's 70th anniversary in 2026 and features a 24-hour display and a dual-time zone bezel referencing the satellite's colors.
- Relaunch of the "Early Bird" model
- Features a 24-hour display
- Includes a dual time zone bezel
The "Early Bird" name originates from the Intelsat I satellite, the world's first geosynchronous communications satellite, launched in 1965.
The watch's 24-hour display, where the hour hand completes one rotation per day, is a direct tribute to the satellite's 24-hour orbit.
The dual-time zone bezel features a red-blue split, inspired by the colors of the "Early Bird" satellite itself, not the Rolex GMT-Master Pepsi bezel.
The case design is based on existing Ollech & Wajs pilot watch models, such as the M-52B AF.
The Soprod P125 movement was chosen specifically to accommodate the 24-hour scale and offers an improved 42-hour power reserve compared to the P024's 38 hours.
