Fears Brunswick 40 “Helmsman”
The Fears Brunswick 40 “Helmsman” is a cushion-cased watch designed for nautical activities, featuring a bright white dial with blue accents and 200 meters of water resistance. The watch draws on classic design elements from the 1920s, updated with modern materials and a reliable automatic movement.
- 200 meters of water resistance
- 68 hours of power reserve
The cushion case shape, first seen from Fears in the 1920s, is rendered in brushed 316L stainless steel with gentle curves and no hard angles.
The watch features a generously sized onion-style crown with the Fears logo, which screws down to maintain the 200-meter water resistance.
The bright white dial has a subtle grained texture and applied indices with SuperLuminova and a PVD blue coating, designed for legibility and to cut down on glare.
The dial is split by a subtle line, creating a sector dial aesthetic with less contrast, and features the Fears wordmark between the center and 12 o'clock.
A blue rehaut surrounds the dial, featuring minute hashmarks and 5-minute numerals, with "ENGLAND" text at the bottom.
The La Joux-Perret LJP-G101 automatic movement is visible through a display caseback and features a custom blue Fears rotor.
The movement has 24 jewels, a beat rate of 28,800bph, and no date complication, meaning no phantom date position.
The watch comes with a white sailcloth strap with an FKM rubber backing, featuring contrast blue stitching and a brushed buckle, and is equipped with quick-release spring bars.
