AdC16 Chronograph
Independent watchmaker Atelier de Chronométrie has introduced its first chronograph-only watch, the AdC16. This unique commission piece showcases a classic 1940s aesthetic with modern customization options and is powered by a heavily reworked vintage Valjoux 23 movement.

- 36mm Calatrava-styled case
- Stainless steel middle case with 18k yellow gold bezel, crown, and pushers
- Calibre S440 (reworked Valjoux 23)
- 52-hour power reserve
- Limited to 1 piece (unique commission)
The AdC16 features a 36mm Calatrava-styled case with a steel middle case and an 18k yellow gold bezel, crown, and pushers, paired with a black galvanic gilt dial.
The movement, calibre S440, is a heavily reworked Valjoux 23 with internal redesigns, including bridges inspired by late 19th/early 20th-century watchmaking with animal shapes, and features an instantaneous jumping chronograph minute counter.
Decoration on the calibre S440 includes palladium-plated frosted bridges, black polished steel parts, hand-applied anglage, and polished countersinks.
The watch is presented on a handmade two-tone beads-of-rice bracelet in steel and 18k gold, with a black leather strap also included.
While this specific AdC16 is a unique commission, the classic chronograph complication is now available for custom orders, with pricing dependent on chosen options.
