The indigo dye is created from sukumo, a blue pigment derived from fermented indigo leaves, a craft dating back over a millennium.
The Arashi Shibori tie-dyeing process involves wrapping washi paper around a tube, tying it to create wrinkles that block dye, resulting in a unique pattern when unfurled.
The watch features diamond-cut dauphine hands with luminous inserts, a feature uncommon on non-Sports model quartz Grand Seikos.
The case features a mirror finish achieved through lapping with a spinning tinplate, a technique similar to zaratsu polishing used by Seiko.
