The Square by Square Prototype
Hanhart has created a unique concept watch, the Square by Square Prototype, for the Dubai Watch Week x Grail Watch Design Competition. This watch reinterprets historical Hanhart shapes with a modern design, featuring a distinctive case and dial options, and is produced in a limited run of six prototypes.
- Limited to six prototypes
- Price: EUR 1,890
The case design blends geometric surfaces with softly curved lines, tapering towards integrated lugs with alternating planes and rounded flanks.
Buyers can choose between a polished and a sandblasted matte finish for the stainless steel case, with three prototypes made for each.
The highly domed sapphire crystal extending to the case edges was a significant technical challenge during development.
The recessed hexagonal crown integrates neatly into the side of the case.
The dial features a wide stepped flange for added depth, with applied steel-colored numerals and indices.
The fully polished, skeletonized hands form an elongated diamond when aligned at 12 o'clock.
The Sellita SW1000-1 automatic movement is regulated by Hanhart to an in-house standard of 0 to +8 seconds per day.
Two references exist: 751P.270-4810 for the deep blue dial and 751P.470-4810 for the mother-of-pearl.
