Chronometre FB 3SPC.2-1
Ferdinand Berthoud has introduced a new monochromatic execution of its Chronomètre FB 3SPC calendar watch, reference FB 3SPC.2-1. This iteration features an 18k 5N rose gold case paired with a nickel silver movement, designed to offer a warm, retro aesthetic and mark the opening of Art in Time Tokyo. The watch retains its focus on chronometry, featuring a variable-inertia balance, cylindrical balance spring, and COSC certification.

The FB 3SPC.2-1 utilizes an 18k 5N rose gold case measuring 42.30mm in diameter and 9.3mm in thickness, with a round shape enhanced by a large crown and a sapphire porthole on the case flank.
Visible movement parts are finished in sandblasted nickel silver, contributing to a monochromatic and subtly retro look, contrasted by polished bevels and a beige-varnished inner bezel ring.
The hours and minutes are indicated by faceted, skeletonised, open-tipped hands in 18k gold with a blue CVD treatment, a color echoed on the seconds hand, power reserve indicator, and screws.
The regulating organ includes a cylindrical balance-spring with hand-formed terminal curves, a specially designed collet, and a variable-inertia balance, which contribute to its chronometer certification.
The in-house calibre features a large barrel under an arched bridge and is decorated with finely finished nickel silver bridges on both the dial and caseback sides.
The watch was officially unveiled at the opening of Art in Time Tokyo and is a non-limited edition, complementing the existing white gold FB 3SPC.1 variation.
The movement is 34mm in diameter and 6.84mm thick, comprising 230 components and 47 jewels, operating at 21,600 vibrations/hour.
The strap is blue alligator leather with an 18k rose gold pin buckle, and an 18k rose gold folding clasp with a security fastening and length adjustment is available upon request.
