Laps Arche Collection
Laps, a Paris-based microbrand known for graphic dials and unconventional materials, has introduced its first automatic watch collection, the Arche. This new line marks a departure from the brand's previous quartz-powered, design-forward pieces, offering a more restrained and balanced aesthetic. The Arche collection, celebrating Laps' tenth anniversary, aims to position the brand alongside established microbrands like Baltic and Serica within the Parisian watchmaking scene.

The Arche collection features arch-shaped lugs that are individually machined and fitted to the middle case, contributing to controlled angles and clean surface finishing.
The collection comes in two variations, Serie 01 (matte finish in green and ivory) and Serie 02 (enamel, glossy finish in black and blue), both inspired by the textured facade of a building by Korean design studio WGNB.
The bezel has a flat profile with a contrast between a vertically brushed surface and a polished bevel, providing a clean edge for the dial.
The dial and hands exhibit an Art Deco vibe, with geometric indices and hands that complement each other.
The date window is positioned at 4 o'clock and features a diamond shape with a background matching the dial color.
The Serie 02 features a seconds hand with a bevel matched to the dial, creating a kinetic detail as it catches the light.
The watch is assembled entirely in Paris.
