The short answer
The closest alternative to the Erebus Watches Nexus (Miyota 9015) is the Seiko SARB033 — looks nearly identical and Automatic. If price is the constraint, the Seiko Selection SARV001 at $181 (vs $599 for the Nexus (Miyota 9015)) covers most of the same brief. From the independents, the Hitori Nexus is the standout microbrand take — shared caliber (Miyota 9015) and Same family (Nexus). Stepping up, the Frederique Constant Highlife Automatic Cosc ($1,995) is where the same idea goes with a bigger budget.
