Citizen has released the ATTESA Power of Purple Aurora, a limited-edition watch inspired by the rare purple hues of the aurora borealis. This model, along with its companion "Power of Green Flash," celebrates 50 years of Citizen's Eco-Drive technology. The watch features a striking color-shifting dial achieved through structural color film and a sapphire bezel with a graduated purple-to-blue finish.
- Limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide
- Price: $2,295
- Launched in October
The dial's color-shifting effect is achieved using structural color film, which creates color through microscopic structures interacting with light.
The sapphire bezel ring features a graduated purple-to-blue finish applied through vapor deposition.
Hour markers and the date-window surround are finished in a contrasting pink-gold color, with the bezel also featuring DURATECT Pink surface treatment.
The watch is powered by Citizen's Caliber F950, which offers satellite-synchronized GPS timekeeping, world time, a perpetual calendar, power reserve indicator, and a 1/20-second chronograph.
The Super Titanium case and bracelet are approximately 40% lighter than stainless steel and have a surface hardness more than five times greater.
