Grand Seiko Elegance SBGW325
Grand Seiko has released the Elegance SBGW325, a limited edition watch paying tribute to the SBGW003, the first manual-winding 9S model from 2001. This new model revives the distinctive Arabic numeral layout of its predecessor, set against a deep navy dial inspired by traditional Japanese indigo dyeing.

The SBGW325 features a 37.3mm stainless steel case with Zaratsu polishing, a thickness of 11.7mm, and a lug-to-lug measurement of 44.3mm, maintaining proportions similar to the original SBGW003.
The dial is a deep navy, inspired by Japan's traditional indigo-dyeing, and features raised, silver-toned Arabic numerals reminiscent of the SBGW003, paired with Dauphine hands and a gold-colored seconds hand and GS logo.
The movement is the Calibre 9S64, a hand-wound in-house caliber with 24 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, offering a 72-hour power reserve and an accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds per day.
The watch is delivered with two straps: a hand-dyed blue crocodile strap and a light grey cow leather strap, both equipped with quick-release spring bars.
The design draws from the SBGW003's blocky Arabic numerals and the 1960 Grand Seiko collection's aesthetic, with the case design shared with the SBGW301 and SBGW305.
The hand-dyed indigo crocodile strap utilizes hon-ai methods, described as meticulous and time-consuming, reinforcing the Japanese craft inspiration.
The manually wound Caliber 9S64 operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 72 hours of power reserve, with a stated mean daily rate of -3/+5 seconds per day.
