The watch case and buckle are hand-chiseled by engraver Steven Brunel, a process taking five hours per piece, resulting in unique finishes for each watch.
The hand-chiseling technique is reminiscent of knapping, the method used to create primitive stone tools, applied here to stainless steel.
The sunburst dials are also handmade, with over 600 lines individually cut by hand.
The dial is finished in a grey coating intended to evoke the dark colors of obsidian and flint arrowheads.
The lug-less, triangular case shape is noted to wear smaller than its dimensions suggest, similar to a 37mm circular watch.
The Sellita SW100 movement is a compact automatic caliber, modified to a two-hand configuration with a cap for the central seconds.
The design inspiration stems from Constantin Brâncuși's collection of primitive tools and artifacts, emphasizing early human creativity and craftsmanship.
The hand-chiseled case is described as a technique that has nothing to do with watchmaking itself, distinguishing it from other textured dial or colorway variations.
