IWC Ingenieur Automatic 50th Anniversary Editions
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Gérald Genta's Ingenieur SL design from 1976, IWC has released two limited edition Ingenieur Automatic models in 40mm and 35mm sizes. These watches feature a vertically brushed silver-plated dial, a nod to a rare variant of the original SL, and a subtle "50" marking on the logo.

The 40mm model is powered by IWC's Caliber 32111 with a 120-hour power reserve and includes a soft-iron inner case for magnetic-field protection, while the 35mm model uses Caliber 47110 with a 42-hour power reserve and features a sapphire case back.
The dials are a reference to a more obscure, silver-dialed version of the original Ingenieur SL "Jumbo", differing from the grid pattern found on the standard models.
The anniversary designation is subtly marked by a "50" replacing the conventional lightning bolt Ingenieur logo at the 6 o'clock position.
The 40mm model features a fully brushed bracelet finish, while the 35mm version incorporates polished center links.
The 40mm edition's date window partially overlaps the 3 o'clock marker, whereas on the 35mm version, it fully removes it.
The movements, Caliber 32111 and 47110, are described as industrial and optimized for low-cost production, with related calibers previously used by Baume & Mercier.
