Vario NAVI Voyage Chapter One: Europe
Vario has launched the NAVI Voyage collection, beginning with Chapter One: Europe, a series of five maritime-themed watches inspired by England, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. Each watch features dial colors and native language hour scales corresponding to its respective country, with a unique single-hand display that emphasizes a slower pace of life. The collection aims to blend nautical heritage with a modern, versatile design suitable for daily wear.
- Limited edition per country
- England: 240 pieces
- Germany: 100 pieces
- France: 100 pieces
- Spain: 80 pieces
- Italy: 80 pieces
- Total edition of 600 watches
The watches feature native languages for the 12-hour scale, with hour segments split into 15-minute zones on an inner scale, and a central running seconds indicator styled as a compass needle.
The case has a coin-edge bezel and alternating brushed and polished finishes on the lugs, with a solid steel caseback decorated with a compass rose.
The collection builds on Vario's Navi line, which originally featured a jump-hour complication and has since included special editions and a single-hand version with an Engine Order Telegraph dial.
The dial features a matte wave pattern, and the hands are shaped like compass and anchor, with a sailor-cap crown, all nodding to maritime elements.
Reviewers noted the high quality and attention to detail for the price, with a refined case finish, a tactile bezel, and a comfortable Italian leather strap.
The single-hand display, while initially met with skepticism, grew on the reviewer as a philosophy for living in the moment, though it contrasts with the historical precision of maritime timekeeping instruments.
