Piaget Polo 79 Automatic White Gold Sodalite
This is a hands-on review of the Piaget Polo 79 Automatic White Gold Sodalite, a new rendition for 2026 featuring a unique sodalite stone dial. The watch retains the seamless case and bracelet construction of previous Polo 79 models but is executed in full white gold, offering a luxurious aesthetic with its deep blue, veined dial.

The dial is made from sodalite, a rare royal-blue mineral with white calcite veins, sliced thinly and fitted into five sections between polished white gold gadroons.
The case and integrated bracelet are in full white gold, featuring polished gadroons alternating with linear brushed flat panels, with chamfered edges.
The watch's structure is seamless from case to bracelet, giving the impression of being 'hewn from one piece of gold', with a flexible yet solid bracelet.
The ultra-thin Piaget Cal. 1200P1 movement features a grey white gold rotor and côtes circulaires finishing on the bridges.
The reviewer considers this the best rendition of the Polo 79 due to the spectacular sodalite dial and the 38mm sizing, which sits comfortably on the wrist.
The CHF 84.5k price for the Sodalite edition is seen as a fair premium compared to other Polo 79 models, which range from CHF 72k to CHF 79k.
