MB&F has introduced the LM1 EVO, a sportier and more robust iteration of its original Legacy Machine (LM1). This new model features a smaller 42mm case, enhanced shock protection with the patented FlexRing system, and 80m water resistance, making it more suitable for daily wear than its predecessor. The LM1 EVO retains the distinctive dual-time layout and suspended balance wheel of the original while incorporating a revised manually wound movement with an increased power reserve.
- 42mm case
- 80m water resistance
- Limited to 33 pieces (rose gold version)
- Price: CHF 82,000 (titanium), CHF 102,000 (rose gold)
The LM1 EVO is presented in two configurations: titanium with a rhodium-plated dial plate, and 18k rose gold with a green dial plate, the latter being limited to 33 pieces.
The titanium model's colorway, featuring a silver background, black sub-dials, and blue hands, bears a resemblance to the LM1 Longhorn prototype.
Both versions feature broader, luminous hands and baton indices, aligning with the EVO's sportier design brief, and include sculpted, polished bosses at the center of the hands for a more substantial appearance.
The revised movement features a more conventional gauge-like power reserve indicator and a pair of opposed Straumann hairsprings, a complex but chronometrically advantageous configuration.
Hand finishing is performed by Charles-Louis Rochat SA to specifications developed by Kari Voutilainen, contributing to a high-end look with inward angles and mirror-polished gold chatons.
The rubber strap features a new push-button quick-release system for easier strap changes, and the folding buckle also incorporates quick-release functionality.
