Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced the Reverso Tribute Enamel ‘Turner Series’, a collection of four watches inspired by J.M.W. Turner’s paintings of Venice. These timepieces are presented at the Homo Faber Biennale and feature miniature paintings on the case backs, crafted using traditional enameling techniques.

These watches are created in the manufacturer’s Métiers Rares atelier and use miniature painting and traditional enameling techniques.
The paillonage technique, where silver foil strips are applied beneath the enamel, is used to create a more realistic texture for the water.
The case thickness of 8.51mm is a reduction from 9.73mm on earlier models, despite the intricate craftsmanship.
The dial on the reverse side features a soleil guilloché pattern with hour and minute display.
Each case back requires approximately 80 hours of work, with up to 14 layers of enamel applied and fired at roughly 800°C.
