Louis Vuitton Monterey Ceramic
Louis Vuitton has introduced two new Monterey Ceramic models, expanding its permanent watch collection. These watches pay homage to the original LV II from 1988, which was one of the brand's first timepieces and featured a ceramic case. The new models retain the iconic pebble shape and 37mm case size, now crafted from high-gloss ceramic in black or green.

The Monterey Ceramic models are a permanent addition to Louis Vuitton's collection, unlike the limited edition gold revival from 2025.
The design is inspired by the LV II, Louis Vuitton's 1988 quartz watch, which was one of the first to use zirconia-based ceramic in watchmaking.
The pebble-shaped case, designed by Gae Aulenti, is lugless and features a crown at the 12 o'clock position, now with Clous de Paris knurling for grip.
The black ceramic version features a white lacquered dial with black and red markings, red hands, and a blue seconds hand, while the green ceramic version has a matching green dial with white markings and yellow hands.
The in-house automatic movement, Caliber LFTMA01.02, beats at 28,800vph and is housed within the slightly thicker 11mm case compared to the original quartz LV II.
The strap attaches ingeniously to the caseback, threading through to maintain the seamless, flowing design of the lug-less case.
The dials are lacquered and protected by a matte varnish, with markings applied via acrylic stamping and fired in multiple stages.
