Extra Plat Rose Gold Gilt
Daniel Roth has introduced a new variant of its Extra Plat time-only model, featuring a true gilt dial made from a solid 5N rose gold plate. This dial technique, where gold shines through unapplied finish, offers a historically accurate yet novel aesthetic for the brand, contrasting with its typically pale-dialed offerings. The watch retains the signature double-ellipse case and an in-house manual-wind movement.

The gilt dial is created by electroplating a black layer over a solid 5N rose gold plate with a hand-executed pinstriped guilloché, revealing the gold where the black finish is masked.
The watch's double-ellipse case is described as unconventional in form, while its compact dimensions are suited for an old-school dress watch.
The manually-wound Cal. DR002 movement is produced in-house by LFT and features hand-polished anglage on the bridges and Geneva striping, considered superior to the movement in the 1990s original.
The black gilt dial is noted as being historically correct and novel, as Daniel Roth's original watches were uncommon with black dials.
The dial features a varnish mask applied over numerals and text to protect the rose gold during the electroplating process.
The watch is fitted with a calfskin leather strap.
