Grand Seiko SBGZ011 ‘Majestic Waterfall’
This Grand Seiko SBGZ011, part of the Masterpiece collection, features a hand-engraved platinum 44GS case and a dial inspired by the Tateshina Waterfall. The watch utilizes 14k white gold for its hands and hour indices, with a brushed backdrop to enhance legibility.
The SBGZ011 is the first Grand Seiko Masterpiece model to feature an engraved platinum 44GS case, deviating from the more rounded ‘Elegance’ case style.
The case thickness of 9.6mm is notably the same as the original 44GS case from 1967.
The dial's 'Majestic Waterfall' pattern is hand-engraved and inspired by the Tateshina Waterfall in Shinshu.
The dial incorporates an outer minutes track devoid of engraving for improved legibility of the carved minute hashes.
The Grand Seiko logo, 'Spring Drive' text, and eight-pointed star are carved into the dial and made of 14k white gold.
The watch is offered with two strap options: a black crocodile leather strap and a KYOTO Leather strap with metallic accents inspired by splashing water.
Both strap options utilize a platinum three-fold clasp.
