Farer has introduced the Stratton II Moonphase, an update to their popular moonphase model, featuring a new Swiss-made moonphase disc with a photorealistic laser-etched moon. The watch is presented with a black Eisenkiessel stone dial, chosen for its textured, gold-brown hue that complements the dial and moonphase disc.
- Price: $2,175
The moonphase disc is made in Switzerland by AJS Productions, utilizing precision laser etching for a photorealistic moon image with multiple layers of paint and Super-LumiNova.
The black Eisenkiessel stone dial features prominent iron compounds, giving it texture and a gold-brown hue that matches the gold-tone dial and moonphase disc.
The cushion case measures 39mm in diameter, 11.8mm thick, and has a relatively short lug-to-lug distance of 45mm.
The watch is powered by the Sellita SW288-1, an Elaboré Grade movement with approximately 45 hours of power reserve.
Despite a general fatigue with stone dials, the design is noted as coherent and thoughtfully executed, with attention paid to critical details.
