Jacob & Co. Astronomia Four-Axis Tourbillon
Jacob & Co. has introduced three new gem-set references of its Astronomia Four-Axis Tourbillon, marking the 10th anniversary of the Astronomia line. These watches feature a four-axis tourbillon, a high-frequency remontoir, and a self-leveling time display, presented under a sapphire dome.
- Limited to six pieces per reference
- Price: USD 700,000
- 36-hour power reserve
- Water resistant to 30m
- 47mm x 27mm case
The watch features a four-axis tourbillon, achieved by a triple-axis tourbillon rotating on three axes while the entire assembly orbits the dial once per minute.
The self-leveling time display ensures the subdial remains upright as the carrier completes one revolution around the center of the watch every minute.
The high-frequency remontoir is recharged at every beat of the balance wheel, six times per second, allowing for more constant torque delivery.
The case, despite its substantial dimensions, offers a light and airy appearance due to the extensive use of sapphire crystal and the absence of a bezel.
The three new references are distinguished by their faceted crystal bases: colorless, green, or red.
