Kiwame Tokyo Yane
Kiwame Tokyo, an independent Japanese microbrand, has introduced its first rectangular watch, the Yane, inspired by the architectural features of historic Japanese temples. The watch features a stainless steel case with design elements mimicking temple roofs and roof tiles, and is powered by a Miyota automatic movement.

The rectangular case design is inspired by the sweeping lines and roof tiles of traditional Japanese temples.
The top and bottom ends of the case feature concave depressions with engraved horizontal grooves emulating temple roof tiles.
The applied marker at noon is shaped like a 'mune', the topmost ridge of a temple's roof.
The case back is decorated with a pattern inspired by the 'taruki', the exposed roof rafters found beneath temple eaves.
The Miyota 6T27 movement is a three-hand caliber measuring 19.8mm x 5.23mm, with 21 jewels and a 4Hz frequency.
The watch case combines polished and brushed finishes to accentuate its unique shapes.
The dial is clean and minimalist, with the only index being the applied 'mune'-style marker at 12 o'clock.
The brown dial option is referred to as 'Enji' (burgundy) and the black dial as 'Kuro'.
