Blancpain Lady B
Blancpain revives the Ladybird collection with the new Lady B, a miniature mechanical watch celebrating the collection's 70th anniversary and inspired by the original "Bullet" model. The watch features an exceptionally small case and an automatic movement, designed to be worn as a piece of jewelry.
- 19mm by 13.2mm case dimensions
- 30m water resistance
- Automatic movement
- 38-hour power reserve
- Available in stainless steel or 18k red gold
- Price: $12,600 (Steel); $19,200 (Gold)
The Lady B measures a tiny 19mm by 13.2mm with a total volume of only 2.9 cm³, and features a strap that passes through the case due to the absence of lugs.
The watch houses the automatic Blancpain Caliber 615, measuring 15.7mm by 3.9mm, with a silicium balance spring and a 38-hour power reserve.
The opaline dial shows only hours and minutes, with applied indices and hands made of red gold or grey gold to match the case.
The Lady B is inspired by the original Ladybird "Bullet" from 1956, which housed the R55, the smallest round mechanical movement.
The self-winding Caliber 615 has 180 components and a silicon balance spring.
The case is a two-part construction with the back almost invisible when worn, and the strap passes directly through the caseback via an opening.
The movement beats at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and features a silicon balance spring.
The watch is available on a 10mm double-tour calf leather strap in a choice of seven colors.
