Excalibur Kabuto
Roger Dubuis has introduced the Excalibur Kabuto, a new iteration of their Knights of the Round Table collection that draws inspiration from Japanese history, specifically the bushō of the Edo period. The watch features twelve hand-engraved samurai helmets, representing influential clans, arrayed around the dial, with the central dial depicting Edo Castle.

The twelve helmets on the dial represent influential clans, including Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu and the Four Heavenly Kings, with specific crests like antlers and sword designs.
Roger Dubuis consulted with Frederik Cryns, who worked on FX's Shōgun series, to ensure historical accuracy.
The central dial features a micro-sculpture of Edo Castle, represented by concentric indigo blue coated squares, referencing its tiered, irimoya roof.
The RD821 automatic movement features Poinçon de Genève finishing.
The watch is fitted with a segmented calf leather strap in a patina finish, secured with cross stitches reminiscent of samurai armour, and includes an additional strap.
