Patek Philippe Ref. 5978P-010 Milano 2026
Patek Philippe has unveiled the Ref. 5978P-010, a new perpetual calendar chronograph limited to 120 pieces for the Milan Grand Exhibition. This watch marks the seventh time in the brand's history that a new perpetual calendar chronograph reference has been introduced, combining the instantaneous perpetual calendar mechanism from models like the 5207 with the manually wound CH 29-535 chronograph movement.
- Limited to 120 pieces
- Made exclusively for the Milan Grand Exhibition
This is the seventh new perpetual calendar chronograph reference introduced by Patek Philippe in its 187-year history.
It features an instantaneous perpetual calendar mechanism, previously seen in Patek's Grand Complications like the 5208, integrated with the CH 29-535 chronograph caliber.
The calendar indications jump instantaneously within 30 milliseconds, offering enhanced legibility through three arched windows at the top of the dial.
The watch utilizes a 'Calatrava-style' case with a concave bezel and hollowed lugs, presenting a less formal aesthetic than typical Patek perpetual calendar chronographs.
The dial is navy blue with a sunburst finish and a black gradient rim, featuring white gold baton markers and dauphine hands with luminous fill.
The movement, CH 29-535 PS QI, comprises 500 components, more than the 5270P's caliber (456 components) and the 5204's caliber (496 components).
The moonphase indicator is positioned upright, and the calendar indications are in Italian to commemorate the Milan exhibition.
It is presented on a composite strap that has a fabric-like appearance.
