Piaget Polo Minute Repeater
Piaget has introduced a new minute repeater complication to its Polo collection, featuring an ultra-thin automatic movement. This timepiece combines a sport-chic aesthetic with high horology, showcasing intricate finishing and a loud chime.

The watch is powered by the ultra-thin self-winding minute repeater Calibre 1290P, comprising 430 components and featuring a platinum micro-rotor.
The dial is openworked and hand-guilloché, made of white gold with blue PVD accents and a blue sapphire ring at 4 o'clock that frames the visible inertia wheel, the regulator of the minute repeater.
The minute repeater is activated by a slide at 9 o'clock and Piaget quotes a sound intensity of 64 decibels, chiming hours at G-sharp and minutes at A-sharp.
A High Jewellery interpretation is also presented, featuring a bezel set with baguette-cut blue sapphires and diamonds on the case.
The watch is worn on an embossed blue calfskin strap with an additional alligator strap supplied.
The in-house caliber 1290P, a 4.8mm-slim machine, debuted in 2013 in the Emperador Coussin Ultra-Thin Minute Repeater.
The dial features hand-applied guilloché producing a sunray pattern, with a smoked blue sapphire ring at 4 o'clock revealing the governor wheel.
The case's proportions are described as large, thin, and complicated, with a fluid and dynamic look due to the cushion-shaped dial opening.
