Horological Society Of New York Traveling Education Classes Head to Australia
The Horological Society of New York (HSNY) is bringing its Traveling Education program to Australia for the second time. These weekend classes, taught by professional watchmakers, offer hands-on experience with mechanical watch movements, covering gear trains, winding, and escapements. HSNY will host sessions in Melbourne from October 30 to November 1, 2026, hosted by Time+Tide, and in Sydney from November 21 to 22, 2026, hosted by Hodinkee Australia & New Zealand.
The Horological Society of New York (HSNY), founded in 1866, is one of the oldest continuously operating horological associations globally.
HSNY's Traveling Education program, launched in 2016, offers weekend half-day classes taught by professional watchmakers, covering mechanical watch movements.
The classes in Australia are scheduled for Melbourne (October 30 - November 1, 2026) and Sydney (November 21 - 22, 2026).
Melbourne sessions are hosted by Time+Tide, and Sydney sessions are hosted by Hodinkee Australia & New Zealand.
This marks the second time HSNY has offered its classes in Australia, with the previous visit in 2020.
