DWC Terra
The DWC Terra is a unique, affordable field watch from Indian brand Delhi Watch Company that gained significant attention for its unconventional design and viral popularity. It features a rectangular case with carabiner-inspired strap slots instead of traditional lugs, offering a distinct aesthetic that deviates from standard military field watch designs. The watch sold out rapidly upon release, highlighting its impact in the market.
- Price: $50
- Limited edition of 5500 units (titanium version)
- Water Resistance: 50 meters
The DWC Terra features an unapologetically rectangular case measuring 32mm wide by 44mm tall, with no curvature, designed to sit on the wrist with minimal overhang.
Instead of traditional lugs, the case has carabiner-inspired cuts with alternating openings for strap insertion.
The titanium version was a limited edition of 5500 units, while a larger batch in sandblasted stainless steel was also offered on pre-order.
The dial has a classic field watch layout with 1-12 hour track and 13-24 numerals, minimal branding, and brushed syringe hands with an orange-tipped seconds hand.
The Miyota GL32 quartz movement is slim, affordable, and rated for +/- 20 seconds per month with a 3-year battery life.
The angular, flat-surfaced crown is inset slightly at 3 o'clock, reminiscent of the AP Royal Oak crown.
Delhi Watch Company is aiming to bring production of case components in-house for future batches of the Terra.
