The Classic Fusion Tributo aims to be closer to the original 1980 design than previous reinterpretations, restoring the 12-screw bezel and the contrast between gold and rubber.
The yellow gold reference features a matte black lacquered dial with a gold pad-printed MDM signature, while the white gold model has a polished black onyx dial with a silver MDM signature.
The bezel screws are H-shaped, mirroring the counterweight on the central seconds hand, and are polished titanium on the yellow gold model and polished black-plated titanium on the white gold model.
The automatic movement, calibre HUB1711, is based on Zenith's Elite calibre and features an openworked rotor made of 22k yellow gold for the yellow gold model and black tungsten for the white gold version.
The omission of the 'One Click' strap-changing system was a deliberate choice to maintain a closer resemblance to the original watch's construction.
Hublot will donate CHF 100,000 to Carlo Crocco's MDM foundation, supporting humanitarian and educational projects.
