The Minerva The Unveiled Crownless
Minerva has introduced The Unveiled Crownless, a timepiece that challenges the traditional watch crown by integrating winding and time-setting functions into its bidirectional bezel. This innovative approach, reminiscent of Minerva's historical bezel-operated timing functions, offers a unique user experience and a clean, symmetric case design.
- Price: €39,000 / US$38,000 excluding taxes
- 41.5mm steel case
- 80-hour power reserve
- 30 meters water resistance
The watch replaces the traditional crown with a bidirectional, fluted rose-gold bezel for winding and time-setting, activated by a hidden lever on the case back.
The bezel's fluted structure provides a firm grip for smooth and effortless winding and setting operations.
The 41.5mm steel case is just under 12mm thick, featuring long lugs that curve downwards for a comfortable fit, enhanced by the absence of a protruding crown.
A rose-gold plaque engraved with "Depuis 1858" is present on the left side of the case.
The dial design is inspired by Minerva watches from the 1950s, featuring an opaline center and a finely guilloche outer ring in a warm ivory tone.
The manually wound M15.08 movement operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and includes a free-sprung balance with an in-house balance spring.
The watch includes a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock.
The strap is a 21mm dark green alligator leather with a stainless steel triple-folding clasp featuring a fine adjustment system and a small arrow detail on the buckle.
