Czapek has introduced the Promenade L’Écume des Jours, a new limited edition dress watch inspired by Boris Vian's surrealist novel "L'Écume des Jours" (Froth on the Daydream). The watch features a Grand Feu enamel dial with artistic interpretations of motifs from the novel, including a water lily seconds hand and a piano key bezel.

The dial design incorporates two motifs from Boris Vian's novel: a 'pianocktail' suggested by a mother-of-pearl ring with hand-painted black keys encircling the dial, and a water lily at 4:30 representing the seconds hand, inspired by the novel's character Chl
The water lily seconds hand is crafted from laser-cut titanium and hand-painted, set on a jade disc laser-etched for the seconds track.
The watch features Czapek's in-house automatic SXH5.1 calibre with a platinum micro-rotor and seven skeletonised bridges, paying tribute to 19th-century pocket watches.
The movement is an in-house automatic calibre SXH5.1, distinguished by its offset seconds display and a micro-rotor made from recycled 950 platinum.
The dial is a layered construction involving Donzé Cadrans for the Grand Feu enamel base and MD-Art for the water lily seconds hand and piano key ring.
The case features polished steel with sandblasted finishes on recessed flanks, and a domed sapphire crystal over the dial.
Each watch is delivered with a special box containing a copy of Boris Vian's novel.
